The Best of the Robert Louis Stevenson Trail retraces the steps hiked by The Scot from Le Puy-en-Velay in the volcanic Massif Central to Florac in The Cevennes - a journey of 128 kilometres or around 86 miles.

The Best of the Robert Louis Stevenson Trail gives you the finest trails from one of the top ten walking tours in France. It's all the highs without the lows and you enjoy the delights of the Upper Loire Valley, Mont Lozere and the 'chemin des crêtes.’

Stevenson set the standard for the whole modern-day hiking movement. However, he often slept out under trees in a prototype sleeping bag, whereas you will enjoy good food in comfortable hotels en route as part of this memorable inn-to-inn tour. If you have never hiked a long distance path before, this version or 'blend' of the Robert Louis Stevenson Trail is pure malt - the ideal 'aperitif' guaranteed to turn you into a trekaholic.
